Manchester United's shares have been purchased by American billionaire investor Leon Cooperman, but a full takeover is unlikely. Cooperman, who is worth over $3.6 billion, has increased his stake in the club to 2.9 million shares, which is worth more than $50 million. However, he is not thought to be planning a takeover bid of his own any time soon. The Glazer family still holds a voting majority of around 67% of the club, while Ratcliffe owns about 28%. Despite this, the Red Devils are hoping for more success on the pitch after Michael Carrick replaced Ruben Amorim as manager. Their next game is against Everton, and they are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table.
