Now, let's talk about the process behind these rankings. These results are a collective effort, representing the feedback from industry experts - our voters. Barrett Media takes on the role of organizer, collecting and presenting the information, but we do not participate in the voting ourselves. It's important to note that these rankings are based solely on performance in 2025, so any changes in 2026 won't impact the outcome.
Here are some key points to keep in mind:
- Our Major Market executive panel consists of 36 influential figures, including program directors and corporate executives from top broadcasting companies like Audacy, iHeart, and ESPN Radio. We've gathered a diverse group to ensure feedback from all corners of the country and to maintain an unbiased result.
- The criteria for our voters include the 'ear test' (how the show sounds), originality, multi-platform impact, ratings success, clearance for national shows, and industry buzz.
- A total of 30 shows were considered for this category.
And now, the moment we've all been waiting for... the winner is...
For the third consecutive year and the fifth time overall, the voters have crowned Boomer & Gio as the top Major Market Sports Radio Morning Show of 2025!
